Supplying a Photography & Video Team – BRILLIANT Festival, ACC Liverpool

Not every job needs me physically on site. I can provide crew and equipment when scale requires it.

BRILLIANT Festival is a large scale education and technology conference held at the ACC Liverpool, bringing together teachers, industry leaders and emerging tech.

For this edition, I supplied both a photographer and camera operator, each fully equipped while I was out of the country.

Beforehand, everything was structured properly. I briefed the crew, supplied kit, built call sheets and provided clear shot lists with defined deliverables so the event team knew exactly what they were getting.

To see more of my event coverage, here’s my photography and video.

The team handled full event coverage on the ground. Keynotes. Panels. Audience. Exhibitors. Interviews.

All raw files were transferred directly to me. I handled the transfer, photo editing and the final video cut remotely, delivering highlight selects quickly and full galleries shortly after.

Because I manage the edit myself, the final output still carries my style and standard. I like the idea of consistency when choosing suppliers and I think it should be the same for my clients, even if I’m not on site.

The event organisers still deal with one point of contact.

Providing crew only works if the people involved align with how I operate. I bring in operators I trust. Clear communicators. Respectful on site. Calm under pressure. Easy to work with.

Much of the imagery from that year continues to be used across the festival’s website and promotional material, which is always good to see.

Sometimes I’m on site. Sometimes I’m coordinating from elsewhere. The responsibility still stays with me.

Big shout out to Lowri and Jack for working on this one!
